FIR filed against RBI Governor By Congress Lawmaker

Vishwendra Singh who is the Rajasthan Congress lawmaker has filed a complaint against Reserve Bank of India governor Urjit Patel.

Singh had gone to Oriental Bank of Commerce in Bharatpur and he had to stand in the line for about an hour to withdraw 10,000 rs.

But when his turn came the bank allegedly told that their cash has been exhausted and they can only offer him 2000 rs while he wanted 10,000 rs.
Mr Singh said-

“The RBI knew of the demonetisation, then why did they not print adequate currency notes? The RBI should be punished for not supplying enough new cash to banks.”

The police has still not registered FIR because –

“Though the police have accepted my complaint, they didn’t register an FIR under cheating and criminal conspiracy against Mr Urijit Patel and the branch manager of the Oriental Bank at Bharatpur. I will now move the court.”
